Purple Rain Gala
Introducing the Purple Pulse Project
10 Days. One Mission. Endless Impact.
Have you heard of Foo Foo Fest? A beautiful celebration of art and culture that brings the city to life. Now imagine that same energy—but fueled by purpose. That’s the heartbeat of the Purple Pulse Project.
From August 21st to August 31st, we’re lighting up Pensacola with 10 days of awareness, action, and healing—centered around substance use and the struggles that often surround it. This isn’t just an event—it’s a movement. Anchored around Fentanyl Awareness & Prevention Day (Aug. 21st) and culminating on Overdose Awareness Day (Aug. 31st), Purple Pulse is here to spark conversations, lift voices, and bring our community together.
We’ll begin with a powerful Candlelight Vigil to honor the lives lost to substance use disorder and fentanyl poisoning. But that’s just the beginning. Throughout the 10 days, we’ll highlight issues that often walk hand-in-hand with substance use—homelessness, human trafficking, domestic violence, mental health, and trauma. Because raising awareness means connecting the dots and creating space for healing.
This is more than awareness—it’s about pulse-checking the soul of our city. And we’re doing it as one.
#OneCityOneSound — unified in voice, movement, and mission.
